Painful to listen to

I couldn't listen to it more than once because of of how loud the instruments were on even a low volume. I'm sorry, but it's just bad.

Greenkupo responds:

wow <.< sorry, it didnt sound like this when i posted it :s sorry <.< it was just a test i promise next one will have more sounds and stuff ^^

Drums too bright and up front! D:

The melody is sexy and a different approach towards dubstep, but those drums... good lord. They just ruin what is otherwise a fantastic little loop for me.

First off, turn down all the drum channels, add a reverb to it all, maybe shorten the snare so its just a quick hit, too.

a million dub-heads

just came wobbles

oh look, excision basslines. lame.

I feel very sorry for music in this genre... all stenciled after either Excision, Skream or Rusko. No real effort on bringing new things to the table of dubstep.

This is no exception.

It seems like this is just mindless, simplistic intensity... like gabber and crunk.

This song has just the utmost of boring melodies, monotonous, cookie-cutter drums and not much else there except for a reverb and a Frankenstein sample. Just lazy.

I don't think I won't have any respect for your music until I hear something fresh from you. And about the score: let's face it, 5/10 is being generous.

Blizzaine responds:

I've never heard a bass like this in dubstep. I pretty much made this track trying to be innovative. Please link me to the Excision track that stole my bassline please? If it exsists.

And you act like any other dance genre is different?

UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE

how original

EDIT: And who the fuck has to be innovated when they aren't signed? If I were releasing an album then yeah, I'd work towards some real innovation. But consider this + all other tracks i have PRACTICE. When a record deal gets made, I won't embarrass myself with cookie cutter sounds.

Think about it... "OOOOOH MY GOD ANOTHER ROCK SONG WITH ELECTRIC GUITARS OMFG WTF MAN COOKIE CUTTER SHIT TOTALLY."

You make no sense.

Yes, I hear it wobble...

But it doesn't move me whatsoever. You should experiment more, man. Take off the heavy reeverb on the drums, and it'll automatically sound way better.

As for now: unoriginal and very, very boring.

DanceNation responds:

It moves me so thats cool.

Silly and upbeat. :P

It's so catchy and silly, I can see it going places.

Only thing I'd change for a better effect: instead of a crash on the end of this, put a single bass hit with some reverb. It'll sound nice.

Of course you'd win.

Dubstep is just a pissed-off robot with a limp. But with bias aside, it's a much better track than other dubstep songs.

alextheDJ responds:

lol wut

Excellent all around

It has this old school house feel, then you supplied the addition of the blips, boops and beeps as well, giving it a gentle robotic feel. Now, I wouldn't guarantee this to be the winner for the competition, but in it's own rights, it is a win in my book.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

All robotics need blips and boops as well as a hint of beeps.
I have taken a listen to some of the other submissions and agree with this not bein' the best submission, but your thoughts are much appreciated :]

not bad

Sans vox, it's a lot like an Aphex Twin acid techno track. It really gave me a nice throwback. But no, seriously. I'm not digging those vocals.

sorohanro responds:

Thanks for review.
This is not really one of my "serious works". I guess I can make a version without voice but then will have nothing to do with robots.

Kinda disappointing...

The start had everything going for it... then the bass kicked in, which was impressive, but there really wasn't much going on past that initial pattern. As for dubstep, any song is an almost guaranteed 'robot in a meat grinder', so I don't really see any challenge in the piece.

Sorry CnB, I thought better of you, but this track isn't up to your standards.

cornandbeans responds:

From a sound design perspective dubstep is very challenging if it's done correctly, but I see where you're coming from. However the genre is more about the vibe of the track rather than the progression.
