Oh my Christ yes yes YES

This is one hell of an experience. It's chilling and maddening at once, and when the bitchcrushed everything and grind comes in, it gives off a very Otto von Schirach feel to it. In fact, everything about the composition screams Otto.

I'd work on your mixing and mastering a bit to really give this and songs like it a real kick in the pants.

aDeafBat responds:

Hmm, i've never heard of Otto von Schirach. Pretty cool stuff! Will definitely give something like this another try, with Otto in mind next time.

Thanks!

Enjoyable, yet predictable.

Thanks for sending this song my way, and as you requested, I'm gonna review it. DEEP BREATH.

Right from the start, I'm impressed by the fact that this is LSDJ and not some 'cheaptune' software on the computer. I like the idea and can imagine a bunch of pikachus and squirtles bouncing around as they do to it, but it's repetitive and a tad bit of a chore to get through without much progression or change in the song; you need work on that.

Your instrumentation is top-notch though, and that's really good. I don't know how hard it is to work with LSDJ, but I trust that it's easy to pick up, hard to master. Is that about right?

Anyway, I got an odd sensation from this song that was not sure if good or bad, because it caught me off guard and was so cutesy I felt embarrassed to listen to it. Oh well. 8/10, 5/5 because I vote 5 on every thing.

Croire responds:

Haha Thanks so much! Yeah, a LOT of people pick up LSDJ but drop it FAST becaus Trackers have a pretty steep learning curve.

I'm working on giving my songs more variety in their progression so they aren't so repetitive and yeah I can see you getting a little embarassesd listening to it lol, my friend described it as "Cutesy as shit" lol

Thank you!

This can only get awesome.

7/4 dubstep in an obnoxious filthy Rusko-esque style? Sign me up! :P

also lol @ super outro.

Chromanut responds:

lol yeah white noise outros are the best, so pro

This was the funnest day ever.

Bjra likes to tear me asunder so it seems.

xKore responds:

lol

There's something great here...

I'm just honestly finding it hard hard to sift through the bad stuff to find it.

The bass is incredibly programmed when done in chords, it gives this great feel to it, but it feels like it's far to de-tuned, even for what you're going for in tis song. It's a bit too all over the place for my tastes.

Besides that bass, I felt the overall composition was very well done.

PS; that bass really is broken, you need to work on it :\

Quarl responds:

i worked my ass off on that "broken" patch. i spent an entire day just working on the lfo patterns. don't tell me to work on it more when everything in it is exactly the way i wanted it.

My IQ lowers by the second.

now i cnt tlk liek a nrml prson l0lz

I think I simply got lost in the nowhere-ness. A lost-ness that made me spiral into bang-your-head-on-a-desk retardation.

Laqur responds:

take out the leader and the rest of the pillars will fall...

Annoying as hell; I love it.

This is down and dirty, like true rave breakcore should be. It's got cheesy vocal samples, amen breaks and overdriven kicks. The percussion work reminds me of a cross between Dev/Null and The Flashbulb, which is crazy good.

The judges of the RUNGADM don't get what this music is about, which is probably for the best. Oh well/

poopr1221 responds:

Needz moar rave vox. Seriously. Needs some husikam rave dojo action going on. But uh, yeah. I'm not really that disappointed over RUNGADM, as I didn't really expect to make it through the first round. Thanks for the review man.

Right keys, bad execution.

I'm guessing you use FL studio?

What you can do after you record the songs, you can go back with a step snap feature and make the keys more on time with the song.

I recognized the song, so that's points, despite the fact that it was a mess :P

189luigi responds:

Actually i didnt use FL studio.

The main reason i submitted it early was not because i thought it was ready, was so i could get peoples suggestions on what it might be missing. Im trying to figure out a good base line for it but not having much luck.

Also, this is me performing it, I didnt in any way input a track into this, this is all from scratch.

Painful to listen to

I couldn't listen to it more than once because of of how loud the instruments were on even a low volume. I'm sorry, but it's just bad.

Greenkupo responds:

wow <.< sorry, it didnt sound like this when i posted it :s sorry <.< it was just a test i promise next one will have more sounds and stuff ^^

oh look, excision basslines. lame.

I feel very sorry for music in this genre... all stenciled after either Excision, Skream or Rusko. No real effort on bringing new things to the table of dubstep.

This is no exception.

It seems like this is just mindless, simplistic intensity... like gabber and crunk.

This song has just the utmost of boring melodies, monotonous, cookie-cutter drums and not much else there except for a reverb and a Frankenstein sample. Just lazy.

I don't think I won't have any respect for your music until I hear something fresh from you. And about the score: let's face it, 5/10 is being generous.

Blizzaine responds:

I've never heard a bass like this in dubstep. I pretty much made this track trying to be innovative. Please link me to the Excision track that stole my bassline please? If it exsists.

And you act like any other dance genre is different?

UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE

how original

EDIT: And who the fuck has to be innovated when they aren't signed? If I were releasing an album then yeah, I'd work towards some real innovation. But consider this + all other tracks i have PRACTICE. When a record deal gets made, I won't embarrass myself with cookie cutter sounds.

Think about it... "OOOOOH MY GOD ANOTHER ROCK SONG WITH ELECTRIC GUITARS OMFG WTF MAN COOKIE CUTTER SHIT TOTALLY."

You make no sense.
